Chrissy,

As far as I know, I've not heard of anyone building up a " tolerance "

to their prescribed amount of enzymes. I've not needed to make any

adjustments (increase or decrease) since my burn out two and a half

years ago. Yeah, it's really that long ago, see how time flies when

you're having fun???

Your assessment that perhaps you're just worrying too much may be

right, Chrissy. Try not to stress so much about the little things.

And yes, I agree with you about the stomach aches. I used to get them

when I was as healthy as a horse and totally disease and " condition "

free, so I see no reason why I wouldn't get them now. When I feel an

ache coming on nowadays, I usally try to divert my mind from it by

doing something mind taxing enough to take my mind off my body aches,

and wait a while to see if it will pass. I don't run for the oxy the

second the ache appears. Sometimes this works, and I find that it's

just a stomach upset and nothing more. If it's still hanging around

after 2 hours, or if the pain's increased, then I know it's time to

dig out the pain pills. And I will admit that a lot of times that

I've got a belly ache, a trip to the " little library " , (as we call the

bathroom in our house), will take care of this problem.

That storm must be aggravating for sure! We've been watching it on

the radar as it just sits and sits and spins around, doing nothing but

dumping rain, rain and more rain and not going anywhere. It looks

like it finally moved tonight, so hopefully it will soon be out of

your way soon. We had some aggressive wind yesterday, but haven't had

one drop of rain in over two weeks or more. I've been having to turn

on the sprinklers every day just to keep my grass and gardens green.

I wouldn't have minded a little of that rain.

Thanks for thinking of us. Bob and I put up the ribbon and bow

tonight as Austin looked on. Bob got all fussy and wanted to put it

right out by the street where everyone driving by could see it, and

the only tree there was covered with vines that it would have taken

several hours to cut back. I said, no, I wanted it on the old live

oak closer to the house, where I could see it from my kitchen window.

I told him it was more for me than for the passing public, and anyone

driving slowly, (like they are supposed to on this street), would see

it there just as well. Guess who won? called from Norfolk

right before their plane left. He's been calling so much it's as

though he's afraid to say that last " goodbye " , or finally let go....

Can't say I blame him, because I didn't want to either. He said he'd

email me as soon as he's established in his new location.

My advice to you is to just give yourself a break and try not to see

something wrong every time you have a twinge. From what you've said

about your blood sugar and the smaller amount of dilaudid you've

taken, it looks to me like there's been improvement for you, so relish

in it!!

The one thing that mystifies me is the Dr's statement that blood sugar

increases with pain levels. There must be something wrong with me,

because my levels always go down when I'm in pain. I don't know why.

I had a few hours of pain right after dinner tonight, in fact I

couldn't finish my dinner 'cuz it hit as soon as I started eating, and

I had to take some oxycodone to calm it down. I checked my BG two

hours after dinner and it was only 63. It's always happened this way

before, too, with me having low BG during times of higher pain. Well,

I've been weird about many things before, so I guess this isn't

anything out of the ordinary for me....lol!

Take it easy and don't let that wind blow you down. Tomorrow should

be a better day.

With love, hope and prayers,

Heidi
