Guest guest
That described me exactly before I did SCD! Total brain fog and extreme fatigue etc. I was overwhelmed by everything, even simple household chores! SCD has saved my life and my ability to be a part of the world, parent my children, etc. I'm fully functioning 98% of the time now and full of life and energy!!! Your husband's experience sounds very similar to the gains I've made. :-) I've been documenting some of my success through a photo journal. You can read it here (http://windraven.smugmug.com/gallery/1651983) if you are interested. It needs some updating and organizing though. K Dayton, Ohio, USA SCD since June 2006, redid intro June 2007; still have my training wheels on! Myself and 2 kids are SCD, hubby is ever so slowly transitioning to it. Conditions we are treating successfully with SCD: Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (autoimmune), Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, IBS, ADHD, chronic diarrhea, yeast/candida, and salicylate intolerance. Guest guest
I should add that mentally I'm so much more focused. I can follow conversations, I can think through things enough to properly deal with and discipline my children, I can pay for things at a cash register without feeling overwhelmed by all the mental and physical stimuli coming in, etc. When I'm in a social setting now, I don't just sit with eyes glazed over unable to focus on what is going on around me, I'm now part of conversations, connected, my brain is turned on and not off. :-) I really need to add that to my photo journal because I don't think I've put any of the above into words before now. :-) K Dayton, Ohio, USA SCD since June 2006, redid intro June 2007; still have my training wheels on!
