Guest guest
Hi Becky, Mucous is often present in stool, but normally in small amounts. If the bowels is injured or being injured mucous production can increase. This could be from infections, microbial overgrowth (including yeast), ulcers etc.. I also found that when my stools improved from diarrhea and formed up as the stool formed there was some mucous productions. It had been a while since I had formed stools and the dryness may have bothered the bowel walls. It reduced again to normal after a few days. The gritty poops are sometimes associated with yeast (sometimes dieoff) so the mucous may be related to that. Are you treating for yeast? Guest guest
Dear Sheila, I just need some advice because my daughter had some blood in her stools yesterday for the first time after almost 6 months on the diet. I think it was caused by lack of care in eating school lunches or some illegal food she might have had out of the house. The amount of blood was very little and also the amount of poo, she is a bit constipated at the moment. I am afraid this was how relapses started in the past before she started the diet. What should we do? perhaps stop the youghurt for a bit and go back to a diet similar to the intro? I say similar because she refused to have cooked fruit when she started and it worked to get rid of her terrible D. Would not the intro diet make constipation worse? Thank you Stefania Stefania mother to (16 Yold) UC 8 years, SCD 5 months (great results). ___________________________________ L'email della prossima generazione? Puoi averla con la nuova Yahoo! Extra fluids also. Unless there is quite a bit of blood you can probably keep up the yogurt. To make it easier to digest you can drip the yogurt and/or cut back on the amount for a few days. <<<< I say > similar because she refused to have cooked fruit when > she started and it worked to get rid of her terrible > D. If the constipation is caused by yeast or othet microbes that are increasing with the possible illegals - it is important to starve them out. Please update us and if her symptoms get worse let me know. Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 23yrs, PCOD 22yrs mom of and

How were her stools before starting the yeast treatments? Are there any other changes since starting the yeast treatments? It helps to look at all symptoms as a whole.
