Guest guest
Well as some of you may recall I have been chomping at the bit to go back to work. I got some info on a position in the Endoscopy Unit at MUSC. I emailed some folks I used to know and they gave me a lead in. I just emailed the manager of the unit and attached my resume. All I am asking for is an interview, just give me a chance is all I want. It is a busy full time position and I do hope that I am strong enough. My spirit certainly is. So keep your fingers crossed, say a little prayer and wish me luck. I hope everybody is doing well, or as well as possible. Warmly
Guest guest
, I am thinking of you, good luck with the interview. I have been to MUSC endoscopy lab 3 times in the last year, all the nurses in the recovery and pre-ERCP area are so nice, as well as Dr. Cotton and his fellows. The nurses remembered about my situation when I came back and one sweet nurse there really helped my mom when she was on pins and needles waiting for me. I can imagine what a huge assest you would be in a situation like that, as you are so helpful and considerate on this site. My mom is a retired RN, she worked in ICU for years and years. She had patients with CP, but they were all unconsious, so she really didn't know what CP is like on a daily basis. Unfortunately, she is finding out. She has seen people have Whipples, but most of her experience with Whipples was for Cancer and the surgery itself is not what it was 15 years ago. I know that my parents are in for a whirlwind of emotions next week. I can't bleive I am scheduled to go. I have been feeling so sick for the last 2 weeks, with one day of total relief. We are all ready to get this behind us and move on. Anyhow, I am looking forward to hearing how your apointment went. > Well as some of you may recall I have been chomping at the bit to go > back to work. Guest guest
Just a word about nurses... They really are the heart and soul of the hospital visit. If you have a good nurse, one who is attentive and empathetic, it can make all the difference, and possibley save your life. In the two surgeries I have had, I had nurses who were like angels of mercy in one, and the other, not so much. I can't tell you what it means to someone sick to have great nurses. What am I talking about, if anyone knows, you people do! LOL Eileen
