Difference between pancreas pain and an attack

Hi everyone,

I can suffer nagging upper-abdominal/back pain for days at a time,

with a little nausea and some weakness. Occasionally, as last Friday

night when away from home, I can have a much worse attack, with worse

nausea, which usually ends in dreadful lower abdominal pain and

diarrhoea as well. Even these attacks are a pale reflection of the

horrific attacks I had in the 1980's when I was terribly ill for most

of the time.

Neither type of pain is as bad as before I was diagnosed with advanced

CP (2003) and started taking Creon. The coeliac diagnosis in 1988,

after which I went on a gluten-free diet, also helped a lot in terms

of malabsorption and diarrhoea.

The other evening my husband took a phone call from some doctor doing

research into some sort of digestive problem or condition. I wasn't

home from school yet and he told Jim he would phone back. He hasn't

done so yet but I think I'd make quite an interesting subject....as

many of us would!

Good wishes again,

Fliss
