Guest guest
I am taking Candex for yeast and have been for about 5 days. I am also having Constipation since I started the diet 2 mos ago. I understand that the yeast can cause constipation so I'm hoping it will go away. Does anyone have experience with taking Candex for this and how long does it take to go away? I have tried the C protocal on the website but it didn't help at all so I'm hoping this will. I was regular before I started SCD but I was taking a fiber (illegal) supplement which I stopped when I started the diet. Guest guest
Hi Doreen, <<<<I am taking Candex for yeast and have been for about 5 days. Since I wasn't used to constipation ( my normal symptom with UC was diarrhea/b. diarrhea) I didn't know that I was getting a blockage. After 3 enemas things finally started moving again and I went home. After that I tried the prune nectar and OJ to keep things moving but it bothered the yeast. I started taking nut flour and worked on the yeast with enzymes and natural antifungals. It took a while to find the right combinatiopn that worked for me. <<<<<I was regular > before I started SCD but I was taking a fiber (illegal) supplement > which I stopped when I started the diet. > Thanks, Doreen MC 3 1/2 yrs, SCD 2 mos>>>> Are you able to tolerate the nut flour? I also increased my cooked vegetables and fluids. Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 23yrs, PCOD 22yrs mom of and

The website for Candex says not to use any other antifungals while using their product. I'm feeling a little better from the yucky symptoms of the yeast die off but still have C and the reactions to yogurt as I mentioned in my other post. I did one 1 enema about a month ago myself and it cleaned me out but after that I went back to C. . Maybe I have a blockage too, how do you know? I do go on my own about every 3 days but it's a small amt, but the small amt is normal sized, not like its real thin as though it was pushed past a blockage (sorry about the details). I don't have any pain either. I found on the website it says that yeast can develop an immunity to prescription antifungals and herbs. I did use natural antifungals with the yeast enzymes: fresh garlic and carrot juice, gse, Oil of oregano. <<<<< I'm feeling a little better from the yucky symptoms > of the yeast die off but still have C and the reactions to yogurt as I > mentioned in my other post. After I was cleaned out I decided that I needed to be proactive against the yeast since I had very stubborn yeast overgrowth. <<<I do go on my own about every 3 days but it's a small amt, > but the small amt is normal sized, not like its real thin as though it was > pushed past a blockage (sorry about the details). The stool was not normal sized at all. Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 23yrs, PCOD 22yrs mom of and
