Hi,

I just wanted to put a happy post out there as so much of my past writings

have been problem solving...thanks to everyon'e support and guidance. As I near

the end of 3 months on this diet, I feel like I am so much better than when I

started. I am certainely better than before my flare this July that

necessitated a short steriod course and that is awesome! To be minimizing

symptoms with diet alone is incredible!

I'm glad to say my BMs are down to 2 per day in the am with the smallest

amount of D and B (some days no B at all). This is improved from like 4 in the

am with sometimes 2-4 D with B at night time. Grammy B pointed out the link in

Healing Crow where Elaine mentions the slow healing of the gut (with sm B the

last to go often) so I am encouraged and certain I am on the right path!

I just finished a course of S Boulardi and have been able to tolerate 1/2 tsp

24 hr yogurt daily as well as Black Walnut for possible parasites (no stool

test). I think waiting and doing the smallest amount of yogurt is a big help as

well. I have been taking SCDophilus for over a month now before restarting the

yogurt as well.

And now I know that sometimes that starting a new food might show symptoms and

then I just cut it out and I'm fine. Add it to the list to try later!

I'm wondering if it's ok to eat spinach more than 3 times per week? That

seems to be the green veggie I tolerate the best. Soft leaf kale is good but

it's hard to find. Any thoughts?

Great update I am so glad to hear that things are staedily improving

If you tolerate tjhe spinach it may be okay. I have a source of

vitamin C at the same time as spinach to help with the oxalic acid in

spinach. Either pineapple juice or OJ allows your body to get the

good stuff out of the spinach and pass the bad stuff out .
