Hi Edith,

Thanks so much for the great post. You've been so helpful. Regarding my

insurance situation - I've talked with Aetna's home office and a local

underwriter broker here in Clearwater. (This is all too much) Really a

challenge! I've learned that I should apply for Aetna's U.S. Access plan.

Aetna has open enrollment and/or Change Enrollment available to small

business owners during the month of December. If accepted. is effective

February 1, 2001.

The truth is that I do summer in the Blowing Rock/Boone area (NW North

Carolina) and told the Aetna representative that fact. The representative

told me that since I travel it would be best to apply for that plan. Under

that US Access plan I don't

have to have a HMO in network Pcp. I can choose my own doctor as long as

he is one of the physicians recognised by Aetna. Dr. Rutledge is one

of the surgeons covered by the that Aetna plan.

I realize that I MUST have a Pcp and do have here in Clearwater. .

So far it appears as if this plan will cost $275.00 per month. A little

high but better than a loan with interest which by the way I haven't

entirely ruled out at this time.

Tomorrow I'll submit the application to the underwriter and pray that I am

accepted by them. Meanwhile I'm getting my packet together.

I know now that all this will take place after February but if accepted by

all will be able to dance with the good doctor.

I'll inform you as to how I'm progressing on my journey. No Matter what,

I'm very excited about the MGP.

Thanks so much.

ps I did go to one of the USF " s surgical seminars at Tampa General

Hospital about a year and a half ago. Did n't like the invasiveness of the

open Roux en Y " sp " or the Vertical Banded Gastroplasty. I'm a RN and

don't like NG tubes, Abd. drains, , foley catheters etc. I really like Dr.

Rs procedure.

See Ya! *S*
