Guest guest
Hi , what if Your DAN doctor prescribes a much higher does...than what Elaine recommends? We have Dysbiosis and Yeast issues...which I guess are the same, I know that Dysbiosis is a combo of Virus, bacteria, parasites, and yeast in the intestines...I have not had the time to research more...but something is working with the diet, dyflucan 21 day cycle, and Probiotic (VSL-3) I know it's illegal, but we weighed the options with the dr. and decided to use it up since we bought it! So that's why I'm looking for another Probiotic. Christy M 5yrs AU 1 month SCD [sPAM] Re: New with Probiotics Questions--Diane > > What???!!! I am new to this journey as my son, Matt, was diagnosed in August. He is on ThreeLac, supplemented with acidophilus and bifidus from Natren - I was told they are the best. I don't even know about the bacteria you mentioned - what is its significance and where do I get it? Will ThreeLac not do the trick on his yeast? Ah, another big chunk o'change down the drain..... > > Thanks for any help/insights you can offer. Diane Hi, Diane, The allowed probiotics are here: http://www.pecanbread.com/probiotics.html The S. Boulardii is very good for combatting yeast. Although bifidus may be good for healthy guts, in people with damaged guts it has a tendency to overgrow. Many have had lots of trouble with bifidus that takes a long time to recover from. Here's what Elaine said about soil-based organisms (in Threelac, etc.): http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/soil_based_o rganisms.htm mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
