Guest guest
Dear Deb, I have heart problems. I have an irregular beat that gets fast (140+). I take Norpace CR for it and it really helps me. I am a nurse and I specialized in the heart (cardiac) area. A lot of fast or irregular beats are not life threatening but they are scary. You will have to let the Dr. figure out which this is but if they let you go home after the ER each time, they must think that this is not serious. You must let the Dr.s figure this out. It may be that you are stressed over something and this can cause it to happen. It may be hormonal too, I don't know but it sounds like you are being checked out and that is reassuring for you. The Dr. does not let people out of the ER if they think it is very serious at the time. 100 per minute is not very fast, it is borderline for a fast beat. Make sure to read all the labels for caffeine. It is in things that you would never think of it to be in such as Mountain Dew, Chocolate, Excedrin etc. I would read everything before you put it in your mouth. Do not let the dentist give you anything but (carbocain) for numbing--- it does (not) have any stimulants in it. Pumpkin Pudding 1 1/2 cups of soymilk (low fat vanilla) 1 cup Kashi cereal 1 can of pumpkin ( the soup can size) 1 cup of Splenda 1/2 cup egg beaters 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice 1/4 tsp. salt Mix in a high speed blender to make the cereal fine crushed with all the other ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Six servings It has a lot of nutrition and fiber in it. It is wonderful for me with the bathroom problems that I have. I eat about 2 servings a day. I eat VERY low fat with NO dairy products and that has helped so VERY much. I have other things that I eat too. If you would like to share menus, I would love to do that too. My best, Deb Susie Re: Re: stay away from fats, electrolyte problem Susie, My prayers are with you. I know what it is to wait. I am waiting on test results because I have been having extra beats in my heart for four or five days and no one seems to care either. I have been to the ER twice by request of my physician at a clip of $100 each time. And they said it was caffeine induced and I don't eat or drink caffeine, I mean none. And the other time they said it was low potassium and it was normal 4.0. So go figure. I pray for your quick response from the physicians. Also can you give me your pumpkin pudding recipe if you will share. I love pumpkin and it is high in potassium. I use soy milk cause I can not digest the milk sugar. Take care and I'm pulling for you. Deb
