Guest guest
HI Everyone, I posted a few weeks ago and can't find it anywhere. I'm searching for a good pancrease doctor in Cincinnati. Someone gave me the name of one and I've lost it. Sorry. I'm ready to find one and go for the surgery. I'm just tired of this and want to fix it for good. I've had 6 ercp's with stent therapy (at IU with Dr. Sherman)and I keep getting worse. I don't like the surgeon at IU. Thanks for any names and help. Also, all of your posts have been such a strength to me...Thank you. Kim
Guest guest
I might have been the one who sent you the pancreas specialist's name in Cincinnati. The surgeon who I saw back in February was Lowy, M.D. He was really great! He spent 1 1/2 hours with me, my husband, and my mom for my first consultation. > > Here is his information: > > M. Lowy, M.D., F.A.C.S. > Associate Professor of Surgery > Chief, Division of Surgical Oncology > University of Cincinnati Medical Center > The Barrett Center for Cancer > Prevention, Treatment and Research > 234 Goodman Street, ML#0772 > Cincinnati, OH 45219 > Phone: > Fax: > email: andrew.lowy@u... > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kim I had a tp-ict in the Cincy University hospital. Dr. s, one of Dr. Lowy's associates was the surgeon who performed mine. He also had a women in the group and I am sorry but have forgotten her name. She rounded with me one day and was so very nice. It was Thanksgiving day and she even cried with me about some cards I was sent from my daughters 4th grade class. Anyway, Dr. s is the head of the pancreatic team there. He was not as warm as described Dr. Lowy but a good surgeon. Debbie Zepf is the nurse coordinator for that dept and does most of the scheduling. She is very nice and easily accesable via email. If you go to the U of OH Cincy web site and do a directory search you can probably get her info. I called her directly when I was first told I needed to go there and she set the whole thing up. Sorry I dont have that number or email addy for you, but its not hard to find if you go to the university's web site. I hope this helps (SC)
Guest guest
Let me guess Dr. Sherman is less than sweet. I had the rare opportunity to share time with this man in 1996 and 1997 and saw no reason to return to him. He is a strange fellow.
