Guest guest
hi everyone, had my 1st ERCP on tues.woke up from the procedure very nauseous, bloated but came on home.tues.evening was having severe pain and vomiting, couldn't get a hold of g.i. so i went to the er and was admitted.don't remember exactly what my levels were,i just know they were in the 1000's,one(lipase?) was close to 4000.it was horrible and i will never have another ERCP ever again!!my g.i. went out of town tues.evening, and another dr. from the group was treating me at the hosp.he let me come home thurs night as long as i promised to stay on clear liquids for the next 48 hrs.no problem there,it hurts to even take a deep breath, let alone eat! and nothing was found during the ERCP.i never spoke to the dr.because i was completly knocked out,but he told my husband that my gallbladder, liver, ducts, ect looked fine, just damage to my pancreas.i still have not spoken to him, which i'm anxious to as i know more of what to ask than my husband does.i'm still in quite a bit of pain,my belly is bloated and feels rock hard.i wish they would have sent some of that demerol home with me!!! i'm sure you all know the feeling.at least i came home within 2 days, unlike some one on here who recently was in for 14 days(debs?) gosh girl, how did you stand it?i was pretty knocked out for the 1st day.i had called my mom, barely remember doing it .everyone that came to visit,i slept right through.oh well.this was my first hospitalation from pancreatitis, hopefully my last!wishful thinking??? hope everyone is having a good day. Guest guest
Cindy, So sorry this was difficult for you. So you have no diagnosis still?? They don't know why your having problems? I posted today that my GP wants me to have a ERCP, but I am afriad to due to exactly what you just went through. They can't find anything wrongs, so she says next is to check for SOD. What will be your next step?? Eileen
