Guest guest
hi friends, i finally heard from the administrator of our insurance, who is the director of human resources at the hospital where i work. i have been on hold, waiting for an answer since i handed in my letter in september. this surgery is not covered on our current policy, and after recieving a letter from dr r, my pcp, and myself i was told that it would be presented to the executive board to decide if they would add it to the policy...well, my answer is no. i was not given a reason, just an e-mail stating that they decided not to add it at this time but she would be happy to consider it for the 2002 year...good for her, i hope she does. meanwhile, i'm getting my butt in gear and getting ready to move on. i will begin looking for another job, one where the health insurance is interested in taking care of those that they cover and don't have their noses up their *ss (rhymes with bass). i think i've already found something, i have to work on my resume and get an application to them on monday. i've called the insurance carrier and inquired about wls, and was told that they need a letter from my pcp stating medical necessity. with a bmi of 54, hypertension, sleep apnea, a fatty liver, and so on...i think i will meet. i'm not discouraged...this might be the good Lord's way of getting me out of a job where my supervisor totally disrespects those that are not in her little clique. so my dear friends on this list, please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as i start on a new path which will lead to a dance with the good doc! thanks, leilla from claremont btw...my insurance provider is primary physician care....aka in my words primary physicians who don't care
