Is your dad on SCD? Is there any other food that he could have eaten that caused this? It sounds more like food poisoning or a bad stomach flu. I was unable to tolerate the chicken broth straight. If I pureed carrots or the chicken into it I could tolerate it. I think in my case it had something to do with the high level of good minerals and the rate of absorption by my body. Adding the carrots slowled the rate of absorption and then I was fine with it. My reaction (to the straight broth) was mild cramps followed by loose-ish bowels. It wasn't as extreme as your father's reaction. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/message/69274
Guest guest
hi, the only other person to eat the soup was my husband but he has a cast iron stomach, my dad is not on scd but has yeast issues, he lived with me for a while when i removed yeast and sugar from the house cause lots of issues, craving etc, doctor is running tests as they are not sure, he didnt want to eat anything after the soup but he had like 11/2 litres all at once,he has since told me.his sugar craving have started to return today so i am hoping the effect is wearing off. melissaxx mother to shane asd aged 7 scd 8 days --- Sheila Trenholm wrote: > Hi , > > <<<my son started the intro diet last week and i > made the > > homemade chicken soup recipe think its on btvc > website > > anyway i gave some to my dad who also has yeast > > issuses and he had a really bad reaction to it now > he > > has stomach cramps, very liquid stool wich are > yellow > > has had these all week the doctor is running tests > > also he has lost all his craving for sugar and > yeast > > but now isnt hungry at all, I just wondered if any > of > > you had experienced any thing like this and is > there > > any advice i can give him i feel really guilty as > he > > eat the soup at my house. > > > > xx > > mother to shane asd aged 7 scd 7 days>>> > > > Has anyone else who has eaten the soup had this > reaction? > > Is your dad on SCD? > > Is there any other food that he could have eaten > that caused this? > It sounds more like food poisoning or a bad stomach > flu. > > I was unable to tolerate the chicken broth straight. > If I pureed > carrots or the chicken into it I could tolerate it. > I think in my > case it had something to do with the high level of > good minerals and > the rate of absorption by my body.
