Guest guest
I have been " approved " through my insurance company to have HP testing!! Yeah!!!!! I know that most labs send the blood work to the University of Pittsburgh, but my insurance and lab are contracted with the Mayo Clinic so that is where I have to have my blood work sent. Do any of you have any information or experience with the Mayo Clinic? A phone #, etc. Also, I have all the correct codes, but I don't know exactly how my doc is supposed to write my rx for the testing? Should is say, Genetic testing for HP? Genetic testing for CF mutations???? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!! T. Guest guest
, That's marvelous news! You must be very excited to hear this. I have been a patient of one of the Pancreatologists at the Mayo Clinic in ville, Florida. My physician's name was Lange, but his field of expertise was in pseudocysts. I was totally impressed both with my physician and the professionalism I found throughout the Florida Clinic. I believe that many of the different gastroenterology department members specialize in various fields, and that they probably have a special physician who does the reviews and testing for HP pancreatitis. Mayo Clinic has clinics in ville, Fl., Phoenix, Az., and Rochester, Minn., so it would depend upon which one you wanted to go to as to who to call, etc. Check with their website: www.MayoClinic.com and maybe you can get the general information, telephone numbers, etc. from their website. Good luck! With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC and SE Regional Rep.
