Guest guest
I am with you Adrienne, there are so many ????. I would like to know the answer to your questions as well as, can my son have the chicken pancakes on the intro diet...or just the soup and beef? He is also GFCF and can't or won't eat anything else. Can homemade mayo be used on the first week too? I hope we get answers soon. Thanks everyone.\ Cade's mom

Guest guest
Hi,Cade's mom, You can give him the chicken pancakes because they are just made with egg and chicken which are both intro diet foods. I would say that you could also use the mayo because deviled eggs made with mayo are on Elaine's original intro diet listed in BTVC. I don't know who told Tabaitha not to use the mayo. Maybe we should double check with Sheila to be perfectly sure. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/

Guest guest
Hi and Cade's mom, <<<<You can give him the chicken pancakes because they are just made with egg and chicken which are both intro diet foods. I would say that you > could also use the mayo because deviled eggs made with mayo are on > Elaine's original intro diet listed in BTVC. >>>> My copy of BTVC does not have devilled eggs made with homemade mayo listed as part of the original intro. On the pecanbread site it is listed as part of the ASD intro. <<<I don't know who told > Tabaitha not to use the mayo. Maybe we should double check with Sheila to be perfectly sure.>>> If there are bowel symptoms present you should probably skip the homemade mayo on the intro. If you still want devilled eggs you may be able to whip the yolks with a little chicken broth. Fats are harder for a damaged gut to digest and it is good idea to give the gut a break from them when doing the intro (that's why meats are broiled and the chicken soup is skimmed).
