Guest guest
Hi Kaye, Never mind on the link regarding Protonix.. I did find it on the Wyeth website as an Post-marketing report. You'd think with all the money the drug companys spend to develope them....and we do need them...that they would have all the info on them BEFORE marketing them. And I think it was you who said (sorry if I got that wrong) that your doctor ought to know more about the drug before they prescribe it for you. Well, they just subscribe you to whatever drug company gives them the best kickback. Our doctors don't always have the time to research the med for our specific illness and disease. I think thats our job. And thats my opinion. Some people can take contra-indicated meds with absolutly NO ILL EFFECT at all while others can not take them with the same results. That goes back to every person and every body being different. What works well for one may not work for another. Thanks for the info, Sandy in Ca -------------- Original message -------------- Cindy " Protonix does caused pancreatitis as well as hepato-biliary problems. So if you have sphincter of Oddi, that is a double whammy far as I am concerned.
Guest guest
I know it's a shot in the dark, but if you stop taking it, and it is what is causing the problem, will it stop or is the damage permanent? Eileen > Kaye, > > Can you send me the info or the link on what you found on protonix. I have looked and cannot find where it says specifically about pancreatitis and SOD. I'd sure like to read about this. :-) I also have SOD. > > Thanks, > Sandy in Ca > > -------------- Original message -------------- > I did research yesterday and Protonix also causes pancreatitis as > well as hepatobiliary problems.
