Guest guest
Hi everyone, I should be packing for my trip to Boston, but I can't seem to get all my emails out. I wanted to let everyone know that I will miss you guys while I am away. I am having my Whipple at Mass. General Hospital on Thursday morning by Dr. Warshaw. Special thanks to Bert, , and Laurie for easing my worries about pain management after surgery. I hope for the first day or two I am pretty heavily drugged. Thanks also to everyone that wished me a good surgery. Skip, if you are reading this I am still thinking of you and hope your doing well, taking it easy, and that someone is babying you! Kathleen, I think you are having surgery this week, too? Good luck if so. Debs, continue to feel well. Jerry, I know that burning feeling too it's the worst. my mom thanks you for making her feel at ease with your posts, thank you for that. Mark, Heidi, and Eileen, I am sorry to hear of the passing of your friend, you are all in my thoughts. Also, about the reflux meds, that is so scary. Every time I am hospitalized they give Protonix every day. Also, I've take Prilosec and Aciphex (don't know if Pancreatitis is side affect of this one, but it is same meds as all the others mentioned) on and off over the last few years. To think that could excerbate the pancreas. There are probably so many meds that stimulate the poor gland. I didn't know anti-botics were an issue either. Definately have to be more careful in the future, especially because I'll have a wee-little pancreas. Thanks to everyone who posts, because without you all, I'd feel like I was making this illness up. Feel good and stay out of the hospital! Guest guest
: If you see this before you go, best wishes to you on your impending Whipple and I truly hope it is very successful for you!! Please let me know what you think of Dr. Warshaw and Mass General Hospital when you get back and feel up to writing ok? I'm in RI and although I have told you all about the " God like " doctor/GI that I saw at Brigham and Women's in Boston, I have not yet been to see anyone at MA General. Also, whereabouts are you located? We may live closer to one another than we think!! Best wishes to you and I will say a prayer for you on Thursday.. > Hi everyone, I should be packing for my trip to Boston, but I can't > seem to get all my emails out.
