Guest guest
Eileen, I am not saying that you can not still get CP. I am saying that if you are taking a med that can cause pancreatic attacks, then stoping it should stop the attacks IF they are being caused by that medicine. There are steps you can take to help keep your pancreas " healthy " so to speak. The right foods and the right things to avoid are 2. The least amount of stress is another. Watch your meds also. I am saying that the pancreas does not and CAN NOT rejuvinate itself. So once damaged it will always be. BUT if you take the steps to help your pancreas stay healthy, you should have a good chance at helping it stay healthy. I cannot say what your body has in mind though. :-) I hope that helps you. I got CP because a doctor wouldn't listen to my pleas and crys for help. I went undiagnosed for years. You're fighting for yourself. Keep fighting until you have a concrete solid answer to what your problem is! Thats the key to helping to stay healthy longer. Sandy in CA -------------- Original message -------------- Thanks Sandy! So, it cannot heal, but no further damage? No CP?
Guest guest
Thanks Sandy. :-) From what I have read here on the forum, to keep your pancreas healthy, low fat diet, right? I have also seen antioxidants (which I started this week) Anything else? Yes, I'm desperate for answers, for help and to stop this. This disease does things to the mind, because from what I have learned so far, there seems to be " no way out " and to get the right help is so very hard.
