Hello micwentz,

I don't know exactly what you are looking for but Sing, Spell, Read and

Write is the reading curriculum I've used for my two girls (now 17 & 19,

grads of home school) and now am using for my 5yo son. Couldn't say enough

good things about it. My son always wants to 'school'. I have to hold him

back! My only regret is that I got rid of the first SSRW that I had thinking

that I'd never use it again. Big mistake.now after spending several hundred

to buy it again I'm keeping it for the grandkids, ha ha.

After the girls got their reading and some basic math under their belt I

started with Abeka video school and they used that till graduation. However,

I don't see hyperactive boys being able to sit thru hours of video so I

don't think that's the way I'll go now with my 5 and (almost) 4 year old.

I school my son at home through the K12 cirriculum. Here in Florida it is

called FL Virtual Academy

K12 is rigorous but good. You can purchase it for homeschool or in my state and

several others, you can do it at home as public school where they send you the

computer, printer and all books and additional helps. I chose K12 over

connections because they were a mix of books and computer time and they were

very strong in the basics without a lot of extra electives. Connections Academy

is good also. It is more computer based and less book-based. They have more

electives to offer as the kids get a little older.

Does your son have a learning disability or is he a typical learner? There are

tons of curriculum and activities for both!

Mom to 2 typical learners, 2 with autism, all 4 homeschooled.
