Guest guest
since coming home from an acute attack following my 1st ERCP,my stomach has been making really weird and LOUD noises.and i mean LOUD!! just constant rumbling, gurgling and growling.i'm not hungry, not had alot of gas, bowels have been fine and the sounds are coming from up high in my belly around the stomach/ pancreas area. this last attack really wiped out my energy, too.while the pain,nausea,ect..is getting better i have absolutley NO energy.i thought if i got up and around a little more it would help, but a trip to the grocery store last night wiped me out.anyone know what to do about these nosies coming from my gut?its more embarassing than anything. thanks,Cindy
Guest guest
Cindy, I get that too. I have no answers for you, but your not alone. It can be embarrasing too! I also went to the grocery store last night and it wiped me out. Guest guest
This sounds like one of my days ! (from my list of crappy days) How about these symptoms. I have close to zero body fat and today, while I've got the heat on and it's up to 75 in here, I'm still cold. Dreading the thought of taking a shower cuz I'll freeze when I get out before I get dressed. Then, what to wear. It's supposed to hit 90 later today. Talk about layered clothing ! Sheesh ! And it's not even winter yet. My digestive tract is a mess so I can sympathize with your gas/noise/bloting. Regards, Chris

Guest guest
Cindy- I too have those horrible loud pains, I do notice that the noises are the worst after an attack, whether or not I end up in the hospital...and they are the loudest anywhere from 24 hours to one week after an attack...I always just attributed it to my digestive system starting back up again. My Doctor had a name for it...started with a " B " but I can't recall the name of it. It can be so embarrassing. I too have very low energy for up to two weeks after an attack. Something simple like running kids around drains me. You aren't alone!! I spent some of last week in the hospital, and I have the loud belly even as I write, and I have not one ounce of energy to be useful to anyone. I decided that this is what it must feel like to be 95 years old! Hugs, Suzi B. Colorado

I'm not that far behind you....I wear a lightweight sweater in the house, even in the summer, and we keep our thermostat set at 79! Put me in the shade with some wind on a day when the temp's in the 90's outside, and I'm still cold!! I did the same dance with the shower, until I got myself a big, heavy terrycloth full length robe that sits on a hook right outside the shower door. I put that on before I even get out of the shower, slip my feet into full slippers and try not to freeze while I towel off. It's that old lack of body mass problem. I've finally gained enough weight so that I can go without the fuzzy slippers, but still put an afghan over myself at night when watching TV. Others have it even harder, though....one of the other members from SC who I nicknamed " the Eskimo Lady " last year because of this problem, even admits that she has to wear socks in the summer in her house in ton, 'cuz she's always so cold! It's so swelteringly hot and humid here in this part of the country that I don't know how we could be this way, but it's the truth! Hope you can have some better days. Stay warm and cozy. Cindy, I've never had an ERCP, but I've had the noises for over 4 years. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC and SE Regional Rep.
