Guest guest
If you put fruits and vegetables (and some water) in a VitaMix and whirl it long enough, it not only purees it, it heats and cooks it. Is this an acceptable way of making legal applesauce or pear sauce? Also, the Vitamix completely purees skin, core and seeds. Do they still have to be removed before cooking? A Vitamix is a great tool -- but if the core, skin and seeds are pureed, they are still there to feed the bad bugs. I don't (yet) have a Vitamix, so I can't say whether it produces enough heat to properly cook stuff, especially at the beginning. I suspect not. Core, peel, and de-seed, then puree. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
