Guest guest
Lorie, We come up to Alliance 3-4 times a year. The next time let's get together! Thanks for asking about me since surgery. I feel great! I am no longer on diabetes or hypertension meds, and both are running normal. I have heard people state that the Hawthorne is a nice place and if you go through Medstay the rate is great. I stayed at Super 8, right off the interstate and about 5 min from hospital. Since Statesville is only 2 hrs from Durham, I didn't need to stay until the staples came out. By the motel was a hardware store (for husband to wander through), up the street not hardly a mile was a mall, and various grocery stores. My surgery was on a Monday and by Wednesday I was at home, so I can't help you much as for what there is to do. Anything else I can help you with, just let me know. Guest guest
, I would love to meet you and get together. Let me know when you are in town and we can set things up. Are you coming in at Christmas. Let me know. I am really looking forward to getting off my hypertension meds, asthma meds, and my arthritis meds. My orthopod says I need knee replacement now, but he is hesitant because I only just turned 40. He is very supportive of the surgery and thinks I will get about another 10+ years out of these knees if I get the weight off. The asthma should decrease (I hope) enough that I will only have to use an inhaler as needed and not take the medicine any longer. We'll see. I'm glad to hear you are doing well and thanks for the heads-up on the hotels. These little things really do make a difference.
