cutting nerves to the panc--Cindy

I dont know if they actually cut those nerves as much as they block

them. It can be done 2 ways. Going down your stomach or through the

back. An anesthsiologist usually does the one through the back while a

GI endoscopist does it through the stomach. They are often referred to

as Plexis Nerve Blocks, although I may not be spelling that correctly.

If my memory serves, Patty had it done through her back and had great

success with that. You might be able to do a search through the past

postings to find the one she had and maybe even find her personal email

addy and write her directly. She is a very nice person and very

helpful. She raved about the doctor who performed hers.

I had the one through the back and it did work out for me for 8 monthes. I

went back and had it done again with no success(back on 120mg of morphine a

day for me)I have a ERCP scheduled for Nov. 14 and 15 with doctor Sherman at

IU. I haope that helps.
