Guest guest
Hello, I received some baby bananas and quinces by a friend today. I just wanted to know: are quinces legal? and I think I read that baby bananas aren't legal because they can contain starch - is that right? If anyone could verify my questions, I would be extremely grateful. Also, whomever may reply, would he be able to tell me how to store quinces? I've never used them before. Thank you, Dan
Guest guest
Hi Dan, Sorry, quinces are not legal. Elaine said they contain about 60% starch. I'm not sure what baby bananas are. Ripe bananas are legal because the ripening process breaks down the starch. --- Dan Fenton wrote: > Hello, > > I received some baby bananas and quinces by a friend > today. Guest guest
You're right, Dan; the baby bananas are illegal because they are too starchy. I'm sorry but I have no idea about the legality/illegality of quince. However, I did find out how to store them: Store quinces in the refrigerator, but handle carefully to avoid bruising. Quinces are well adapted to long storage mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
Guest guest
I just bought organic bananas that are a lot smaller than the giant non -organic ones (that's all they had in organic) - Are illegal baby bananas you are referring to just smaller versions of larger bananas - or are you referring to plantains..which I know are illegal Thanks Cherie - crohns Connor and 14 ASD ADHD ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

Guest guest
Yes, of course. SCD does not required organic. It may make you feel a bit better to know that bananas are a better choice than some fruits to buy non-organic since we don't eat the skin. mom to -12 SCD a4/23/
