Guest guest
Welcome , You will get lots of help from this group. With regard to the doctor, I would suggest calling your present doctor and asking for a referral to someone who would be willing to consult with him since he knows your husband so well and ask that it be someone who will support the MGB. I have had the same doctor for a while but I think some people have had doctors for less than 6 months because their pcp would not support them. Any of you out there? You will want to go ahead and start gathering medical records, depending on where they are coming from that can take a while. And download, read, eat, sleep, and drink the manual. Good luck! Guest guest
I watched my neighbor die in terrible pain with cancer that had spread to her spine and hip. Because she was Medicaid she got this home health group managing her care and they just threw 90 oxycodone (60's) at her every month and told her to got to the ER for breakthrough pain! The ER docs finally got got angry because we were taking her over every night for a shot of Diluaid and got her hooked up with a doc that would prescribe more reasonable drugs for a dying woman with bone cancer. So she got decent pain control about six days before she died. If etta's case is normal, nobody is getting pain control! Margaret We have to fight for everything whereas these people with " back problems, headaches, etc. " get whatever they want and they ruin it for all of us.
