Guest guest
It's nice to find a place where people can identify. Many people know what it's like to get food poisoning, have stomach cramps, or even sprain an ankle or pull a muscle, but it's hard to explain to someone what it feels like when your pancreas hurts. Most of them never even gave a thought to the fact that it even ever existed. I know i didn't untill i ended up in the ER. That said, it's bitter sweet that we meet under such circumstances. I have had the belly noises, have caught myself looking around while sitting in my cubicle at work to see if anyone noticed. Have had the battery acid like pain as well. From hearing some of your stories however, i feel somewhat fortunate, because for the most part i have been getting along without the pain meds. I feel discomfort when i eat, some times more than others, but when an attack hits i do turn to the pain pills. One of the pains i have felt most disconcerting has been in the central upper abdomen, right bellow or at the start of the ribcage. Feels like someone has put a vice grip on something in there and won't let go. Poncho I like your sense of humor and Dick, I wish i could take rufus (my dog) w/ me to the hospital, unfortunately i think he would reak havoc! (he's part ridge back and part bull mastif, 90lbs and 100% out of control!) as for me i'm 30 and live in South FL, I was diagnosed roughly a year ago and have been for the most part living in denial, but an trying to turn a corner. hope everybody is as well as they can be, and thanks again beau
