Guest guest
Hi all, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed today. My son and I have been SCD for 4 weeks today, and he has made some good improvements. However, his behavior in the evenings hasn't been the best lately. I would say in the past week. Sometimes he acts drunk or a little crazy, giggling. Usually though, he does things just to get in trouble and doesn't care. He just laughs about it, but then when he looses a priviledge he screams and throws a fit. However, at school his behavior hasn't been bad. It starts about 5:00 in the evening. I guess he could be tired too. He's eating a farely wide range of veggies: broccoli, zucchini, butternut squash, green beans, carrots, spaghetti squash. For fruit he eats, pears, apples, banana, peaches. I've been using almond butter in recipes too. I did find some small pieces of apple in his poop two days ago because I shredded it instead of purre. I've corrected that. He also receives digestive enzymes. I guess the detective work is what's overwhelming. I was keeping a log for the first two weeks and then I stopped. I wished I wouldn't have. If something has slipped in that shouldn't, is there still healing going on? Thanks for listening. Guest guest
Hi, Diane, How is he on the weekends? It is hard to hold it together for school. At home the kids can " let their hair down " . Dinner time is always the time even NT kids act up. Still, the acting drunk and giggling is something you want to investigate. You may have to back up to the foods he was eating before this started, if you can figure that out and then resume the diary. If he's eating something that he is not tolerating, then even if healing is going on, you know it's not happening at the rate you'd like it to be happening. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
Guest guest
Hi Diane, We're pretty new to the diet, too. Life has been a series ups and downs for us. Hang in there! I try to keep in mind that my daughter is going through some pretty big changes and it will probably take time for things to smooth out. I've had many of those overwhelmed moments, too. Stay strong and I will too Sharon > > Hi all, > > I'm feeling a little overwhelmed today. My son and I have been SCD for 4 weeks today, and he has made some good improvements. Guest guest
Thanks for the encouragement Sharon! I've decided to go back to the way we were eating a couple weeks ago and make sure I didn't miss anything when introducing foods. Diane SCD 4 weeks Hi Diane, We're pretty new to the diet, too.
