Guest guest
Hi, I posted yesterday, but didn't get a response. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me. I am going to make the cashew brownies. I guess maybe they are called the peanut butter brownies, but I had the recipe saved using cashew butter. The recipe calls for 1/2 cup of honey which I've never given to my son. Has anyone ever substituted dripped pear sauce for this and had the recipe work out ok? I need to bring this to school today, so if anyone could help, I would appreciate it. Thanks so much! Gwen mom to , 9 yrs. Guest guest
Hi, Gwen, Go for it! I found a post from Patti where she wrote: Pearsauce is super-duper sweet.... much sweeter than applesauce (depending on the pears)... and is a good sub for honey in recipes. Patti Hope this comes to you in time. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
Guest guest
Thanks for the info ! I'm a little nervous to try honey, so this should work out better. Thanks! Gwen
Guest guest
Some one just posted a brownie recipe that had neither honey or eggs. You could check out their post to get an idea. If the link doesn't work, search for 'thin brownie'. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/message/70395 Sharon in OH, -(Tourettes, yeast and related conditions, SCD since 8-16-07) Wife of Adam - Crohn's 2004, SCD since June 2006 Asacol, Carlson fish oil, Phenol Assist enzyme. > > Hi, I posted yesterday, but didn't get a response. Guest guest
Sorry for the late reply - I've used pearsauce in place of honey for the peanut butter cake.
