Can't get the BTVC book yet!! Help!!

Hi all,

We just started the diet Oct. 20, the same day I ordered BTVC. Amazon

wrote me and said I won't get the book until Nov. 5!! So, I've been

going to Pecanbread.com for recipes, but we are getting really tired of

eggs for breakfast! (and other pancakes that use eggs!) Are there any

alternatives at this early Stage 1/transitioning slowly to Stage 2

phase? (we did Intro for 2-3 days)

I also need the Honey Halloween candy recipe. Would anyone be willing

to post it? My 3 year old loves the idea of trick or treating, and

even though we bought a slew of little toys to switch with, he will

still want a little treat, and is very observant! We are not using

almond flour yet.

I baked the pumpkin and we've been eating that for a few days, but

something increased my son's absence seizures yesterday, when they had

been decreasing, and I'm suspecting the pumpkin, or some mustard he had

a couple days ago. Leaning more toward the pumpkin, because I did also

notice an increase when he used to eat potatoes.

Sorry this post covers a few topics, but this is a hard diet to start,

and really hard w/o the book!! I even ordered it from the library a

month ago, and that still hasn't come in!!

Happy halloween !!!

Hi, ,

Check this post from Sharon Starcher. I'm not sure all the recipes

will be suitable for the stage you are at, but you should find

something.

Since you are transitioning to stage 2, you might be able to use nut

butter now. Did you know that any nut flour recipe can work with an

equal amount of nut butter? I just read on the SCD Recipe Creators

list that someone recommended using half the amount of nut butter when

substituting for nut flour, but I've had luck keeping things equal.

Our recipes are actually very forgiving.
