Well, I guess just writing to you all earlier prompted me enough to

call my " old " GI doc (recall: The one who said he'd see me on " as

needed basis " after referring me to the God-Like Doctor in Boston who

proclaimed that I didn't have pancreas problems w/o performing any

tests, etc. Just for info for those that may not know that whole

sordid story!)

At any rate, I call figuring that this new burning, acid battery type

pain/symptom is something new since he's seen me last and to me at

least that should signal an " as needed " appointment. I get left on

hold for almost 10 mins. with various people picking up and asking who

I'm holding for. Then, Dr. S's nurse gets on there and says that she

can't give me an appointment until she has consulted with Dr. S. and

he's not in the office until Wednesday. So, she promises to call

after talking to him on Wednesday.....strange isn't it? I mean why

didn't she just set up a tentative appointment and then speak to the

good doctor? Really once again left me with a bad taste in my mouth...

I find that od too. Why did'nt they just make an appointment? Why does

she have to talk to him first before putting you in the books?

IMHO, it sounds like they don't take your problems seriously.
