yogurt in a crockpot?

I saw a crockpot on sale today that had a " keep warm " feature. I looked at the

instruction booklet, but it gave no indication of the temperature it would

maintain on this setting. Would this be good for making yogurt?

Thanks! (in Canada)

Hi , I guess it would depend on the crockpot as to what temp the

warm setting would be. I have one that has the warm setting and way

back when I began SCD, I tried making yogurt in it, but it got too

hot. I managed to use it for a while by turning it off when it got too

hot and then back on once it had cooled back down, but that was a

major pain, even more so than " babysitting " a yogurt maker because it

went up in temp so fast that I was constantly turning it off and on. I

had to get up 4+ times at night to check on it, etc. But it does work

as long as you make sure to keep the temp in range by turning it off

and on when needed.
