after reading the baby banana thread i am panicking a little...

we are in australia and we dont have a banana that is called baby but

we have a large banana which is a cavendish and a smaller one (maybe

3/4 of the size and a little fatter) that is called a lady finger.

does anyone know if the lady finger is legal as i have been giving my

daughter those... how big is a baby banana over there?

Hi,

I don't know if lady fingers are legal (until now I've never heard of them

except for the bread product) and baby bananas are smaller than the regular

bananas, rather signifcantly in fact. The baby bananas (also called an apple

banana for some reason) is about a quarter length of a regular banana and they

usually come in small bunches. They aren't legal because they're usually high in

starch unlike the regular bananas with the spots and/or markings on their skins.

I hope this helps.
