nausea

Hi, Ive been a member of the group for four months and this is my

first post, I dont have CP, but suffered from recurring pancreatitis

for two years,I was admitted to hospital some months ago with a severe

attack, Thats when I was diagnosed, Previously doctors dismissed my

symptoms of those of a severe food allergy, This I dealt with as best

I could, I always read your posts and have heard many times questions

about nausea,stomach pain. Over the years I tried many different

panaceas, Some of them better than others, But I have found Charcoal

pills to have an almost immediate effect, Even lessening the pain, I

realise I have no concept of chronic pancreatitis and ive nothing but

admiration for all of your strength and determination dealing with

this such debilitating condition, I just thought this may be of some help?

I am allergic to phenargan and campozine but have found Vistaril (generic is

Hydroxyzine Pamoate)works great. My dose is 50 mg. every six hours.

Hi Cecilia,

Thanks for the suggestions, I have a big list and I don't care if I

have to go through each and everyone, I am going to find one that

works for me. I am allergic to compazine, haldol (used for nausea at

Mass General), and reglan. Zofran, ativan, benadryl, and now finding

out anzemet don't do anything for me. I am going to use the anzemet

for a few more days and if it doesn't work, I am onto Marinol. I am

desperate.

Thanks for writing to me. You also wrote to me about your experiences

with the Whipple. On Thursday I will be 5 weeks post Whipple. I am

lucky to only be battling the nausea dragon. Thanks for all your help

and information.

I hope you are feeling better and getting some relief from your

problems with the hernias.
