Guest guest
Hi guys, I know ya'll think I fell off the face of the earth! I have had a rough time lately, and just haven't been able to get on here. When I have been able to I didn't feel like I could post anything positive. Between working, kids and fighting panc pain it is overwhelming sometimes! My hubby is a great help but sometimes it is all just too much and I can barely get out of the recliner. I did find out last week at an ER visit that my iron was really low! That explains the tiredness! I was barely able to make it to work and home. I was falling asleep at work and driving. It was spooky! The patches are helping so much and I highly reccommend them for pain. I am on 100 mcg. every three days. Hopefully when my kids finish playing volleyball my life will slow down and I can be more active on this board again. Take care guys! And I haven't forgotten ya'll! Guest guest
Debs, I have not tried the shots but I will talk to the doc today when I go. Thanks for sharing that with me! The doc that found it said that I didn't need a transfusion yet but that we need to find out why I am anemic. I told him that when it hurts so bad to eat that you can only live on liquids and slim fast it tends to bring your iron down. He didn't know what to say to that! Thanks again! Guest guest
Debs, Some days not so bad, other days horrible. Today is not a good day. Every time I travel I have a horrible time for the next few days. It is a 2 1/2 hour trip to my doc in ton. So 5 hours of travel in one day back and forth to the doc. It is getting where I hate to go anywhere because I know I am going to pay for it later. Does anybody else have this problem? It gets depressing, I love to GO! It doesn't matter where or when. I am turning into a homebody and that is not me at all!!! Thanks for asking and for caring! How are you doing? Better I hope!!! Guest guest
Debs, Nights and weekends are horrible for me also. I think that we probably overdo it doing the week and then pay for it on the weekend. I always try to push myself and keep going and working etc. Then on the weekends my body can't take anymore. There is always a payback with pancreatitis! I am sorry to hear you are not doing well. What are they doing to help you right now? Guest guest
Angie, I am replying back just to you. You talked about anemia and being on clear liquids etc for days at a time. I am having a lot of pain lately, I took myself off my zantac, which really helped, about a couple weeks ago. I started with irregular heart beats. The distention and pain is almost all day long now. My doctor told me to go back on the zantac today and that the meds had nothing to do with the VEB's. The beats did stop after I stopped the Zantac. Anyway, I need to go on clear liquids now and my mediport is out because I was septic. They plan to put it back in in a few weeks. How do you sustain without hyperals for nutrition when you need the clears? How many days do you stay on it? They told me everything needs to rest now. Enzymes are just up a little amylase 210 and lipase 650. I also take a lot of antibiotics for the cystic fibrosis. Please let me know what you think? I have in the past used a tens unit its distracts you from the pain a little I have the same problem as well. I too love to go but pay later. I also find that weekends and nights ar ethe worst for me I know what you mean about being a home body as well. that was never me either. the isolation of the pain is so awful I am not doing any better but thanks for asking I am struggling right now more then ever Debs
Guest guest
Hi Angie They have been giving me ketamine, but I dont have a csript for it yet it needs special authority, so I have very little left not enought to last me the weekend. I posted a post a bit back in more detail. The tall and the short of it is I am jsut plain worn out, and yes by Friday I am a mess, I feel for my partner as he is growing tired of this, so now when i have to go to hospital I go myself I try not to drag him with it. I feel like a burden there as theres nothing he can do Right now I dont have enough medication to get through th enext 2 days, I am too scared to ring to ask for more as he has done mor ethen he should already and my partner is fretting that I wont make it thru the weekend. my pain sits constantly with meds at a 6 to 7 which I cant cope with.
