hello everyone! i haven't posted in a while but i read everyday! im glad

everyone is coming along well. i will be 7 weeks post op on monday.

i have lost 43 pounds as of this past wednesday. 7 1/2 inches off the waist

at clinic i was 302 and 48 inches on waist.

i have dumped once and that was with lettuce. so lettuce is gone for now.

i am so glad the 1st month is over. i thought i was going to go crazy. i

still drink a lot of fluids and avoid things that may have a hard time

going through. i have eaten several things:

soft taco(no lettuce)- former favorite, remains a FORMER favorite

spaghetti- did fine with lean beef

tuna and chicken salad on 1 slice of toast- did fine

seafood salad-(no lettuce) did fine

baked potato-fine

rice- fine

i could go on all night. my point is, ive tried certain things that i use

to love and now have no desire at all. i had read that same comment from

post ops before i had surgery. now i know exactly what they mean. i have no

desire to eat candy or cakes or brownies. ok let me stop before we have a

chocolate attack. its supposed to snow tonight here. we always want what we

don't have and have what we dont want. i did get me some popcicles to suck

on. i had to force myself to like sugar free stuff but ive adapted..

i survived thanksgiving and didnt even have turkey. i love turkey but it

can be dry if your dear old grandmother forgets to baste!

sorry to take up so much space. but its been a while for me! 9 more pounds

and i'll be at a 12 year low. since high school!
