Guest guest
a: I'm glad that you find him to be a good doctor for you and I have to admit I almost didn't use his name outright because I feared a situation like this might be the case but at the same time, I didn't want anyone else to go to see him and get the same treatment that I did. I mean he made his " proclamation " based on NO testing (even though my file clearly shows that I haven't had any CT scans, MRCPs since spring of 2004 and the ERCP with Dr. Lehman was in August of 2004 so it's been awhile!!) I am just flabbergasted that he could say unequivocally (sp?) that I didn't have anything wrong with my pancreas without running any further tests. Now if he'd made that statement after running some of the aforementioned tests since it has now been over a year since they've been performed - I may not have agreed with what he said but at least it would have been a decision on his part made using " objective evidence " and that is what ANY good scientist/doctor uses to base decisions on. If you don't mind, could you email me off line (you don't have to if you don't want to I would totally understand) but I'd like to know how you sort of " presented " to him, i.e., under what circumstances and such so that I could get a feel of how his decision making process worked in your case. I would very appreciate that. Thanks for posting and it just goes to show that everyone is different including the doctors!! And how many variables that may or may not feed into the way a person (in this case Dr. Banks) makes a decision on any given day.
