Heidi: Very well said, and in fact, I just sent off a similar email

to a myself. As I said to her, the fact that he didn't base his

decision on " objective evidence " but just made an arbitrary decision

on what my problem is was perhaps what bothered me the most. If he

had run some tests (and he must have perused my file enough to know

that any CT scans, MRCPs and the ERCP with Dr. Lehman had occurred

over a yrs ago) and then made his " proclamation " it would not have

bothered me as much as it did.

As I said to her as well almost all scientists (and that includes

doctors) ALWAYS want as much " objective evidence " as they can obtain

before making a decision one way or another. He obviously used old

testing data...but I did give him my films and the date is there

right at the top so it's easy to see that it was done over a yr

ago. I worked with engineers and scientists for over 18 yrs at my

job at Naval Laboratory here in RI and I know how they

operate...they are all extremely nit picky when it comes to making a

decision on something they're working on going over and over and

over the data until you're almost ready to scream!! And a

disclaimer here: No bad intentions here to any on this board that

are in the scientist/engineer/medical field - I have immense respect

for anyone that can complete the rigorous ecucational demands that

lead to obtaining those types of college degrees!!

I DID as if she'd email me privately as to what her circumstances

were when she first saw Dr. Banks..I'm just curious to know how

she " presented " as it were in order for him to take her case so much

more seriously than mine.

Anyway, thanks Heidi I appreciate your empathy for my situation.
