Guest guest
Hi Walt: I read your post with great interest because I, too, have put on a good 35 lbs or so since about January of this yr. It doesn't have anything to do with the Creon/Lipram because until just recently (like w/in the past 2 wks) I wasn't taking them as I didn't think they did much of anything way back in the beginning of this illness. They DO seem to help now though so I'm taking them again. Also, I find it interesting that they give you 30 mgs of Methadone 3x per day. They just recently upped mine from 5 mgs 4x a day to 10 mgs 4x per day. I'm also on the Fentanyl Patch 125mcgs every 24 hrs. I get Percocet for BT but I absolutely hate the stuff and I think it contributes greatly to increased nausea so I avoid it like the plague. How do they tell if you have a pseudocyst? I'm assuming from visual testing, i.e., CT scan or MRCP but what if it's say on the back side of the pancreas? Would they be able to see it then? And does that cause " different " pain than the day to day panc pain? The reason I ask is this: For roughly a month now or a bit over, I get this feeling like there is someone pouring battery acid all over my middle (under the ribs) and it goes all the way around the back up into my shoulder blades. This is a different pain than the day to day panc pain I have been having since Feb 04. My skin actually gets hot and I've told my husband on numerous occasions that he could probably fry an egg on my stomach if he wanted to. Is that the way a pseudocyst feels?
