Guest guest
I recently have been posting more than I used to and I truly appreciate all of you who have given me valuable information. With that said, I have a few more questions. I have been running low blood sugars since about June. (By the way, I have CP, SOD, etc., etc.) I had a 2 hour glucose tolerance test, which was normal. Yesterday, I got really dizzy and felt as if I was " tensing up " all of my muscles, clenching my jaw, etc. I thought my sugar was low so I checked it and it was 167. I know that most of you will say that that isn't that high, but I have never had a blood sugar over 126 in about 4 months. I wondered if the symptoms that I had go along with high blood sugars? If not, what are the symptoms of high blood sugars? How do you get your sugar to come down? Two hours later I check my BS again and it went down to 102. I saw my doc last week and he wants to get more lab work. He doesn't understand why my sugars drop so low so quickly. He mentioned a possible sarcoma in my back/flank area. He, therefore, ordered a C-Peptide. What is this test for? I would greatly appreciate any information you could give me. Thank you. I pray for a pain free day for you all!!!!! T. Guest guest
, http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/c_peptide/glance.html Labtestsonline is a decent site where you can find answers to many questions regarding medical tests. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003701.htm http://las.perkinelmer.com/applicationssummary/applications/insulin-Cpeptide.htm This one is a bit more technical but the bottom portion explains the use of C-peptide measurement. (An insulinoma is a tumor in the pancreas that produces too much insulin) I hope this helps. Love, Jill new/weird symptoms He mentioned a possible sarcoma in my back/flank area.
