These are some of the most important benefits to this surgery, the return of sexual desire, and the boost in self-esteem. We fat people don't have many places where we can speak somewhat openly about matters that have kept us down or sad, and where we can openly rejoice over experiencing life as healthy people. I respect people's need for a certain level of propriety, but let's not let prudishness kill an important part of our dialogue. And humor - EXTREMELY important!
