We are going to try adding bell peppers as a new food tomorrow, but I

have no idea how to go about taking the peel off. Any tips?

I'm going to be sauteeing the peppers for use with SCD tacos.

TIA! :-)

I've never tried it with bell peppers, but with chile peppers there are two

ways. The easiest is to dip it into boiling water until the skin pops, then run

it under cold water and pull it off. I also put a fork into the center and hold

it over a flame sometimes. This gives it a, " fire roasted " , flavor. When the

skin pops, off it comes.

You can also put them under the broiler until the skin turns black and puffs

up. You have to turn them and keep an eye on them. Let them cool after you

turn all four sides. They will deflate. Then they are easy to peel. Some

people put them into a ziplock closed to let them steam but I've never had a

problem peeling them. Just an alternative method.
