Guest guest
Thanks to all of you who posted to my questions and concerns. The place where the stricture is, is at the beginning of my panc duct (about 2-3 mm inside). I am leaning on trying the progressive stenting. The other surgical option is to remove the beginning part of my pancreas duct to get rid of the stricture. I am NOT ready for an " open surgery " . The last time I saw Dr. Lehman, he put 2 stents in and I felt pretty good after. Now I feel pretty crappy most of the time. ----If you could please post to me (or email me ) with your experience with the progressive stenting. What is the time frame in between stents? 2 weeks, 4 weeks ??? I don't know what the procedure is called to remove part of the panc duct and re-route things (as the doctor put it). Anyone??? Hope everyone is well. Take care Kris in TN
Guest guest
Kris, It might be the same name of the surgery I had..Transduodenal Ampullory Resection...not sure, but it sounds the same..they just did the added removing of my duodenum layer inside it because of the polyp Transduodenal is the direction they cut to the duodenum, ampullory (ampullar - duct) resection..rerouting it..I believe..but I could be wrong..
