Guest guest
Laurie, I'd like to be included in this, too, if allowed. While I'm totally an amateur, I did work for a gardening/nursery center for a year as a landscape consultant and salesperson, and have an avid interest in all things green. Our soil here at home, unfortunately, isn't very productive since our property used to be an indian summer encampment and shell mound. It's on a high bluff overlooking the May River, which feeds into the Atlantic about four miles down river. For every quart of soil you dig in our yard, you'll probably find sections from 5-6 oysters, and naturally it's very sandy. So gardening is a challenge, but both Bob and I love it, we try hard each year, regardless, and have had some successes. Any time with my hands in the soil has always been most theraputic, and I would love to see what you've been doing. I'm sure you could teach me a lot, and I'd be a willing learner. The blog with Yahoo called 360 that I just wrote about does let you include photos and more, I previewed the sample blog and it looked pretty neat. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
