Hi Jim: Well, what everyone has said about gaining weight isn't

what is happening with me. in fact, the exact opposite..I've just

lately started taking the Creon again as before it was causing

extreme nausea so i stopped it. So that obviously wasn't what was

causing my weight gain. I think in my case it is a combination of

eating so many starches, switching to " real " Coke vs diet for it

helps me with nausea. So, strictly a combination of that and not

exercising as I once used to do, five das per week.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that Ambien did NOTHING for me

either so my pain doc switched me to something called Remeron which

is really an anti depressant but he didn't give it to me for that

reason he gave it to me for the sleep issues (or non sleep rather.)

Said it worked better in some people for the insomnia and it works

like a dream most nights for me although just lately I've been awake

all night despite taking them but that could also be because I'm all

screwed up with my sleep habits anyway. Sleeping all day, then not

tired at night.

anyway, ask your doc about the Remeron (generic is called

Mirtazapine.) Worked very well for me....

Take care
