Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I need help with trying to eat. I need a diary free and fat free cookbook. Other than eating the cover of the book does anyone have any info for my problem? Thanks for any help, Susie
Guest guest
Susie; I work part time at a major culinary store. I'll check our cookbook product line for what you need and post a reply Tuesday. Dick > > Hi Everyone, > > I need help with trying to eat. > > I need a diary free and fat free cookbook. Guest guest
Hi Susie, if you look into the file section or database section; sorry I forget which; of this board you will find a section on nutrition. Heidi and Fliss have several recipes on there that might work for you. I have never tired them because when I was sick I could not even so much as look at food much less prepare any. I pretty much lived off of slimfast, chicken noodle soup and tons of vitamins and minerals. That is of course when I could tolerate them. However, I have read the recipes and they do look good. I have had the benefit of enjoying Heidi's cousine first hand and she is a wonderful cook so I can imagine the recipes to be quite good as well. If you do run across any recipes that you enjoyed, please share them with the group. Perhaps they can also be included with the recipes that are already in the database. The more the merrier right. Hope this helps.
Guest guest
; It cracks me up that chicken noodle soup is your friend. Me too! When I get out of hospital I do 's chicken noodle soup for two weeks along with Contin MS. It gets me through it ok. I have come to accept that I will have a pancreas attack every 4-5 months or so, soooo.. I purchase the soup by the case at Costco. I also stock up on Pedialyte. Between having things ready for me and Alan to go to hospital (the duffel bag packed with human clothing by the front door [jamies and t- shirts, some jeans and socks, two of my pillows which are not wrapped in plastic like the hospital ones that make your head all sweaty, sheets/pillowcases and a few towels: hospital towels are too small and not fulffy soft , and the sleeping bag for Alan to sleep upon along with a case of dog food in the truck and his away from home bowl and a can opener] and stuff here [the chicken noodle soup and Pedialyte] for when we come home: we are all set. I have learned to kinda plan for pancreatitis and by doing so, the whole thing is less uncomfortable and easier to accept and deal with when it happens. Must be the Boy Scout in me. Dick & Alan P.S. Oh yea, I forgot the laptop PC. They haven't figured out that I spend a lot of time on the web while in hospital. True it is dial- up, not DSL, but I am happy to have what I have. > > Hi Susie, if you look into the file section or database section; sorry > I forget which; of this board you will find a section on nutrition. > Heidi and Fliss have several recipes on there that might work for you. > I have never tired them because when I was sick I could not even so > much as look at food much less prepare any.
