Hi Chrissy,

I just wanted to ask you what procedures you have had (before your TP).

I know you mentioned a transduodenol Sphincteraplasty (sp?). I went

to see my family doc today to get more pain meds and he was asking the

name of the surgery that Dr. Lehman had suggested as one of my options

(I can't remember the name). If my pancreas duct has a stricture near

the opening, to reroute things would mean cutting the pancreas? or

just cutting the duct? I am going to try the progressive stenting

first and then if that fails in the future then I will try the

surgery. I definitely can't just " live with this " . I have been

living with " this " for almost 8 years now! I had another bad attack

Sunday night (only 8 days after my last bad attack). I didn't really

have alot of recovery time. I was also vomiting too. Couldn't keep

my pain meds down for a couple of hours. Then things calmed down

alittle and I got my pain meds into me and felt alot better. I am

waiting to call Dr. Lehman back, until we get into our new home. It

should be done the end of this week or the middle of next week. After

we move in, I WILL be planning another trip to Indy. I just wanted to

do some research on different procedures for strictures of the

pancreas duct. I know you have LOTS of experience with surgery etc.

(smile). Anyway, I would appreciate any info you could share with

me. Thanks.

Take care
