Guest guest
Wal-Mart has cast iron skillets, I just bought them. Also I e- mailed Amy @ www.greenliving.com about cookware and she recommended a line called Le Creuset (expensive, but I found pieces @ Marshall's sister store Home Goods). Hope this helps! > > I know we've been over this and over this, but I am looking for some > particular items, so if you know where to get them I'd sure appreciate > the shove in the right direction- > I want some cookie sheets that are not metal. Guest guest
the one thing to watch with cast iron is that you buy it unseasoned -- the seasoned versions may use allergen/non-scd legal ingredients in seasoning. Not hard to season on your own -- ever piece of lodge cast iron has instructions and I think it is on their website too. Kim > > Wal-Mart has cast iron skillets, I just bought them. Guest guest
Cherie -- good question -- I don't know how/if cast iron holds on to old stuff. Interesting issue since you are not supposed to use any soap on it while washing. I am guessing the preseasoned ones are an issue because it is probably baked on in the factory at a really high temp.
