Guest guest
I posted about three weeks ago with a child I had in my care that wasn't talking at 37 months. The mother had stated she talked with her family and decided not to have him evaluated. She really believed she just needed to spend more time communicating with him. As a last resort I gave her the Late Talker book and a week later she had an appointment for an evaluation. It's amazing the denial and blame some of our loved ones live in but I am so grateful for this resource. It speaks volumes. My 3 1/2 y.o. apraxic child is just blooming with a new diet and supplements and a little therapy. Thanks to all who offered support in trying to get through to this mother for the sake of her young son. Thanks, Tara E.
Guest guest
You know what, to be fair, we were all once in denial. It is what you do when you get out of it that counts. I knoew something was wrong long before I acted and the EI folks tell me I was early. I know a mom the EI folks saw when the kid was 32 months and this kid was severe PDD Nos. Notice I say was. The mom had a new baby this summer and just realized she could not live through denial twice. She read McCarthy's book when the baby was 3 weeks old, went GFCF and the kid is doing great. She is doing well that a few other parents at the preschool with affected kids joined her and their kids, with different issues, are also doing well. The school noticed as well. See, a lot of the families that went GFCF did it with the whole family and the typical kids are doing better in school. This group of parents has been asked to present the diet to the school. I am not selling this diet. These people are doing it with medical guidance that they did have to find on their own. Their kids are likely improving fast because aluminum is the deal. Not just from the vaccines and packaged foos but from the water in town likely affected by the window company in town. No wonder our water is not fluoridated. > > I posted about three weeks ago with a child I had in my care that > wasn't talking at 37 months. I'm glad the book speaks for itself, and the mother sought help for her child. Thanks for giving us the update.
