service dogs for apraxic kids?

Does anyone on here have a service dog for their apraxic child? My son

has global apraxia and although he can get around ok (he is 3) I think

a therapy dog that lives with us would be very beneficial to helping

with both fine and gross motor skills but also language and social

skills (he is VERY shy). I found several groups that work with kids on

the autism spectrum but my son doesnt have this... just wondering if

anyone else has pursued this for their children?
